Minimum Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications
Current Missouri Paramedic License.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Valid Missouri Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background investigation.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
National Registry Paramedic certification preferred.
Previous 911 EMS experience preferred.
ITLS, PHTLS, or equivalent trauma certification preferred.
Community Paramedicine or Critical Care experience is a plus.

Simulation Outreach Coordinator
Columbia
The University of Missouri is hiring a second Simulation Outreach Coordinator to support mobile simulation education across Missouri.
This position may be an excellent fit for an EMS professional who is passionate about simulation, enjoys teaching, and is interested in transitioning from clinical practice into education. Many previous team members have had EMS backgrounds because those skills translate well to mobile simulation, independent travel, and working with healthcare teams in a variety of settings. Candidates with other relevant healthcare experience are also encouraged to apply.
The position involves up to 75% travel and may include long days on the road, but it also offers considerable flexibility and the opportunity to provide meaningful education throughout the state.

Paramedics/EMT's

Serving Grundy County, Missouri we typically staff two ALS ambulances (optimal crew composition is one Paramedic and one EMT, though due to staffing issues we do at times run BLS crews) and run between 1,500 and 2,000 calls in any given year- 70% of them are emergency calls, and the remainder are inter-facility transfers from the local critical access hospital to larger facilities, in Kansas City predominately.
