Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls.
Assess, treat, and transport patients in accordance with Missouri state regulations, district policies, and established medical protocols.
Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care utilizing current evidence-based practices.
Operate ambulances safely under emergency and non-emergency conditions.
Complete accurate, thorough, and timely electronic patient care reports (ePCRs).
Maintain ambulances, medical equipment, medications, and supplies in a clean, organized, and response-ready condition.
Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
Participate in continuing education, skills training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain positive working relationships with local hospitals, physicians, clinics, medical providers, long-term care facilities, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, emergency management personnel, and other healthcare and public safety partners to ensure seamless patient care and effective community collaboration.
Interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and the public.
Represent Clearwater Ambulance District with professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications
Current Missouri Paramedic License.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Valid Missouri Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background investigation.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
National Registry Paramedic certification preferred.
Previous 911 EMS experience preferred.
ITLS, PHTLS, or equivalent trauma certification preferred.
Community Paramedicine or Critical Care experience is a plus.
